I thought to order the expensive Omelette (Shrimp and Crab)....Well there were many Tasteless Shrimp and no crab; the potatoes were great, but I would guess they were fried in lard...... The service was that of a typical Canadian restaurant and the atmosphere was that of a typical roadside dive. We checked into the Hotel, but after a few minutes... More

I stayed in the motel portion of the complex across the street from the main hotel. The room was basic but clean. It was quiet and the employees were helpful. It was relatively expensive ($119 US) but, given the very limited options available in the Stewart, BC/Hyder, AK area, you are sort of a captive audience.

We were mostly happy with this motel. We received a kitchenette unit and the beds were comfortable enough. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful and the price is decent. The only complaint that I have is that it is a rather noisy place to stay. Many people are getting up at very early (4:30 am -... More

We were lucky to get the last room at the King Edward in the motel building cross the street from the hotel. It was a smoking room but the friendly, pleasant woman at the desk told us that they ozonate the room so it doesn't smell. She wasn't exaggerating. We only got a couple of whiffs of old smoke. The... We stayed at the King Edward Motel, which is located at the same road, opposite the hotel. The motel is a little more expensive than the hotel (119 against 99 CAD, plus tax) but you get a nice kitchenette with all the gear you need, a separated living- and bedroom, a flatscreen television and there even was a bag of... Stewart is quite remote with the nearest large town being several hours away. The King Edward Hotel would be a complete rip-off if it were in Vancouver or Whistler, but in a remote place like Stewart, it is not a bad option. The rooms are spacious and clean and offer cable TV with wireless internet. I did not like the... More

We went to Stewart on the advice of a TA buddy whilst travelling from Prince George to Prince Rupert. Good run up there and a picturesque drive into Stewart past lakes and mountains that seem to come to road. Accomodation consists of hotel and motel across the road. We chose the motel which is totally self contained with a small... More

The trip down the Glacier Highway was truly amazing but upon reaching Stewart I was a little worried as to what the accommodations would be like. I need not have worried as they were great. You book in at the hotel to stay in the motel that is directly across the road. The staff are friendly and full of helpful... More

We didn't stay in the accommodations at this location, however, we ate twice in their cafe at the hotel. The food was really good, and reasonably priced. This is one of the restaurants where a lot of the locals go to, and tourists as well. If you want food reasonably priced, with good customer service and good tasting food, then... More
