We have just had a wonderful stay at the Pension Waldkrieber which is now being run by new management from September 08. The Pension is run by the Famillie Allen who are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome.

We arrived early evening, and although we had not booked half board, they offered us an evening meal with wine at short notice.

The restaurant in the Penson is in traditional Austrian style decor and there is a seperate downstairs bar area for drinks after dinner.

We particularly enjoyed the sauna, solarium and gym which are to a very high standard for a Pension.

The Pension is situated near Lake Pressergersee and we had a beautiful lake view from our balcony. The rooms are clean , warm and have very comfortable beds and nice furniture.

The location is excellent for the Lake, the local town of Hermagor, which has many shops and restaurants, and the excellent ski arena, Nassfeld. It is also very close to the Slovenian and... more
