What a wonderful place and Antonio was so helpful in our planning. The scenery was beautiful and so very peaceful. We loved it and hope to return. From our room we could see the rolling hills and many cypress trees. Several towns were very close and great for an evening out.

We just spent a wonderful week in Tuscany, and one of the highlights was staying in Casale di Villore. It's a gorgeous property with stunning views of rolling green hills, olive trees abound, and the pool is also beautiful (even though it was too chilly to use it). We were there with our two-year-old son who loved running around, playing... More

Such a beautiful place! Antonio was wonderful and so helpful. Lela was adorable! The apartments were beautiful. To sit outside at night with a glass of wine and watch the incrediable sunset was heaven. I would highly recommend Casale Villore.

We were 2 married couples traveling through Italy by car. We wanted old, authentic, Tuscan feel and found it here. We cannot adequately describe the views, the lawns, the quietness and richness of this property. Why drive back to town to eat when groceries and wine from local stores, prepared here, and enjoyed alfresco was so much better. The rooms... More

We had a really fantastic holiday here in September 2012.The views from the villa are simply wonderful with the towers of San Gimignano visible in the distance. Several lovely sunsets and a beautiful property.Driving to Tuscan towns like Sienna and Florence was quite simple. All in all we highly recommend it.

My girlfriends and I spent a week at Casale di Villore in September. We had always stayed in hotels and wanted something different. When we arrived at the villa, the scenery was surreal. It was on a hill overlooking grape vines and olive trees. There was also a fig tree in bloom and the figs were outstanding. Our accommodations were... More

Our group of six adults spent a week at Casale di Villore in September 2012. Overall, our experience exceeded all our expectations - and by a large margin. The property is simply beautiful and commands an incredible view of the Tuscan countryside. It is ideally located between midway between Florence and Siena and is an easy drive to many Tuscan... My wife and I shared a wonderful villa at Casale di Villore with four of our friends. Villore is beautifully situated atop a hillside looking west towards San Gimignano, which can be seen off in the distance. You can see beautiful sunsets looking out over olive groves and the Tuscan valley. While Villore is out in the quiet countryside, it's... More

From the moment we arrived at Casale di Villore we knew that our stay was going to be unforgettable. There in front of us was a panaoramic view of paradise; an infinity pool surrounded by olive trees and a vineyard as far as the eye could see. Our accomodations were great too-we loved all of the decorating 'touches'. Antonio was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Once an imposing guard tower, its image drawn on antique maps of the region, Il Casale di Villore’s main structure dates back to 1200. Over the course of the centuries, a series of annexes were built to house the families that worked the land. An olive press, granary and a wood -burning oven, still fully functional, were also added to bake the bread and store the grain of those residents of centuries ago. Recently restored, Il Casale di Villore invites you to live the Tuscan dream in this genteel country residence.Designed to embody both refinement and simplicity, the residence, in both its interior design and the rustic beauty of the exteriors, exists in perfect harmony with the surrounding countryside. The vast garden encircling the property leads to a large swimming pool, nearly hidden amongst the olive trees. From poolside, guests have a breathtaking view of the towers of San Gimignano and the Castle of Strozzavolpe. Cypress trees, vineyards and oak forests extend as far as the eye can see - criss -crossed here and there by a shady country lane or a gravel path leading to an old stone farmhouse. ... more   less
