My wife and I recently stayed for the first time at Churchdown House, On arrival Alison and Jonathon made us both feel very welcome, we were shown to our room (The Blue Room) which was spotlessly clean and spacious. We stayed for four nights during which time we were supplied with an excellent breakfast each morning. We were given plenty... More

Myself and my husband stayed one night only, this place was a really gem. Not your usual B & B had a real special feel to it. Breakfast delightful, hosts charming. Will definately return. Big up to the Mawdsleys, well done guys!!!

We have stayed here many times and Alison and Jonathon go out of their way to make our stay relaxing. They help with luggage, provide the most amazing breakfast, cater for food allergies, in fact make us feel like family. The bedrooms are charming, and spotless with comfy beds and snuggly duvets. The complimentary tea/coffee tray always includes Alison's scrumptous... More

Unfortunately this was only a fleeting visit due to us attending a wedding so we didn't get to really appreciate the full surroundings this charming B&B had to offer. On arrival we were greeting with a warm and genuine welcome by the owners Jonathan and Alison who offered help with our bags and showed us to the room. This was... More

We have stayed at Churchdown House for several years now. Having stayed at various other B&Bs in Shropshire, this one is by far the best we've stayed at. Alison and Jonathan are two of the nicest people anyone could meet and go out of their way to help you if the need arises. The breakfasts are amazing, especially the Bridgnorth... More

Having discovered Churchdown House a good few years ago now, by asking for the best place to stay in Bridgnorth, I could not have been better advised. Over years of repeat visits, many at very short notice, Alison and Jonathon have always provided a warm welcome which has restored us after hours of travelling. The quality of the accommodation and... More

Although just a flying visit of checking in at 7pm and checking out the following morning, it was still a lovely experience. A great welcome by Jonathon when we arrived, a parking space right outside and a spacious room which was absolutely spotlessly clean. At breakfast the next morning, although we were the only people there, there was a great... More

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a night away in Bridgnorth and booked Churchdown House after seeing the rave reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed and would highly recommend anyone to stay there. We felt like we were stopping with friends rather than being paying guests. Alison was very friendly and helpful when it came... More

Our family have been welcomed by Alison and Jonathon Mawdley at their home for the last two summers. They offer comfortable traditionally furnished rooms at a reasonable price in their wonderful Georgian home. The personal service from both hosts is outstanding; to the extent that paying guests feel like family friends. They personally cook and serve a traditional English (Shropshire)... More

To say that Alison and Jonathon Mawdsley provide a warm, friendly and extremely professional service from their home is actually undervaluing their dedication to detail that they both put into your stay at Churchdown House. From the first phone call to the cheery wave goodbye, you felt as if they genuinely wanted you to come and stay in their home.... More
