Pleasant Hotel, despite being out of season and the restaurant being closed. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Room was fine and clean. The view from our balcony was splendid, and the sunsets from the south to SW facing room were spectacular. Wifi in the hotel was available for the majority of time except for a brief break during poor weather.,... More

We arrived at the hotel from Aci Trezza near Catania where we had stayed at the very excellent Lachea Hotel. We had trouble finding the Hotel Villa Romano as the directions don't mention where to exit the main road or that the road leading down to the hotel, Via Mediterranee is one way and that you must go to the... Small room, compensated by a big balcony with seaview, equipped with sunbeds and a parasol. Clean. Little to choose from in the minibar, just water and mineralwater. Good A/C. Safe in the room. Nice breakfast in a beautiful "ballroom". The coffee was brilliant, aswell as the pastries.. Poolarea was great and they also had sunbeds on the beach. The hotel... More

Villa Romana seemed to be one of the best options in the area, but despite this being probably true, standards have to increase sensibly. Hotel is relatively new but style is somewhat surpassed, rooms are ok (we had a sea view with big terrace but the view itself was not spectacular and chairs and chaise longues were dirty and not... I higly reccomend this hotel for travellers searching a high quality service, a peaceful area where to relax and enjoy a great sunset from the “Scala dei Turchi” located in a walking distance from the hotel. We especially thank Alessandro, the Sales Manager, for his warm welcome, the attentions reserved us during our staying and especially the restaurant suggestions. Looking... More

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Agrigento and the temples. I'd read that the beds were too hard and that it wasnt great but I thought it was fine. I like a hard bed. It was quite expensive compared to other locations but I guess that's the location. It's nice beside the sea and the hotel is clean... More

After reading reviews that said to stay away from the concrete jungle of Agrigento, we found this hotel right on the beach, not far from the Valley di Templi, the best preserved Greek temple ruins outside of Athens. The town itself is just ok, but this hotel was a gem. Beautiful, elegant, huge sandy beach, lovely pool, great dining area,... More

My wife and I stayed here on our trip around Sicily by accident. We had driven from Siracusa in the morning, visited Piazza Armerina in the afternoon, and we hadn't chosen a place to spend the night before we visited the ruins in Agrigento the next morning. This was the spirit of the trip, by the way: no pre-reserved hotels,... More

I booked the superior room (with a terrace) through Expedia at Villa Romana, but was given a standard room (with a balcony). The balcony looked at a pool house versus the sea view a terrace would have provided. I complained to the front desk person who got angry with me, stormed around the hotel showing me "other rooms" I could... More

Wanting to visit the Valley of Temples we were faced with some problems to find the type of hotel we prefer, comfortable 3/4 star, in a relaxing area, with balcony and decent views. Having read fairly negative reviews of some Agrigento hotels, including one that looks directly onto the temples, I did more research on Villa Romana which is located... More
