We have spent a fair bit of time in this part of Italy and have rarely had a bad experience. Pretty much everywhere you stay, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. The food and wine are usually top drawer, and the weather is a beautiful finishing touch. What set Tenuta il Corno apart for us wasn't anything "out of this... More

We have visited Il Corno many times. We love everything there, exceptional site, staff, rooms, beds, best Tuscan food one can get and of course their own oil and wines! Also children love it. Many superb places within an hour's drive.

We spent three days at this country estate, enjoyed the beauty of the grounds and the surrounding area. We especially enjoyed the staff, especially Ronnie who made us feel like we were old friends coming for a visit. The apartment was spacious, the restaurant was excellent, and the wine was fabulous.

Well situated in close proximity to Florence. The views are fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxed and very restful. The pool was a welcomed delight as the temperatures were in the high 90's -100. Our apartment was comfortable and the bathroom was the largest we used on our trip. There is no air conditioning but there were fans which provided some... More

Strange place, Į read some review ans seems that the same thing happened to other people. First Wine comparing to the price is very poor taste, we ordered a bisteca fiorentina of 1,6 kg they showed us that piece of meat but on the bill they counted 2,2 kg without any prior notice. The stake was little bit overcooked. Potatoe... More

The location, views and restaurant apierence is really nice. What we did not like was the "stupid foreigner" treatment. We have beet in Italy for many times and we have visited many places, so we have what to compare. Everything was more or less ok considering very awerage vines and meals and the fact that they did not bring any... More

Dear Guests It is always unpleasant to read rewiews as yours, first of all because we cannot reply on time and in a constructive manner. I thought for a long time what could have caused this situation and after having checked with attention the documents and spoken with my staff, I suppose that the main problem is" the communication". Tenuta il Corno is considered an Agritourismo, which is sort of a cross between a B&B and a working farm or ranch. In this case, a vineyard. It is more of an apartment than a "hotel" and at night, I'm not sure there was even any staff on the premises. Not that this was ever a problem, I just want... More

I came upon this lovely place by accident, when I was lost in the Tuscan hills. I walked in and asked if they had lodging and was shown (by luck) the most beautiful apartment, which I readily booked for the two days it was available. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend searching it out. The bathroom attached... More

Our family of five stayed here early this month for four nights while we toured the surrounding Tuscan countryside and Florence. Our apartment consisted of two very large bedrooms with two large bathrooms and an adjoining small kitchen. Ceilings are very high and the rooms remained cool despite the heat of an Italian summer. We did not miss A/C at... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
It is one of the most beautiful estates in Val di Pesa and was built by the ancient Del Corno family in the 12th century. The family committed itself with diligence and dedication to enhancing the rural environment and this estate was turned into a real "agronomical park". In 1523 – when the Renaissance was at its peak – the estate passed to the Strozzi family.Il Corno became their summer house. Since 1911 it is owned by the Counts Frova Arroni di Arrone, who carried on all its traditional agronomic activities – oil and wine production – with diligence and commitment, in a perfect union between high technology, traditional methods and respect for the environment. Towards the end of the 1990s some of the main country houses of the estate were restored and renovated and today they serve as accommodation for our guests. There are rooms and apartments - partly made up of original pieces – where tradition, elegance and simplicity create a real magic atmosphere. Here you will spend very relaxing holidays, sun baths or swimming in one of our pools surrounded by our big park. Enjoy some of our delicious typical food and drinking one of our fine wines !!. Finally, the Villa represents a romantic Renaissance-style location where to celebrate weddings, parties , meetings, conventions and any other events. You can stay in our country houses in an apartments or in a room, elegantly furnished, partly with original and antique pieces . The hills of the Chianti region, with vineyards and olive trees, characterize the splendid landscape that surrounds our country houses. These houses were built more than 500 years ago and they have been restored taking great care to preserve their original structure, materials and furniture. Their wooden beams and terracotta floors perfectly match the comfort and modernity of the services provided. You will experience the best of your holiday diving into our swimming pools surrounded by nature, having breakfast while admiring our breathtaking landscape, tasting the excellent wines we produce or having a romantic candlelit dinner. ... more   less
