After some long bus rides through Colombia we really enjoyed our stay at Hacienda Venecia: We just relaxed in the garden, in the hammocks and the pool, we participated in the coffee tour and we just walked around in the beautiful hills around the house. Amazing views! The rooms are simple, but very clean. Breakfast is included and if you... More

Hacienda Venecia is about 20mins from Manizales. You can ask the bus driver to drop you at the restaurant next to the Hacienda Venecia sign and call from there for someone to pick you up for free. Alternatively, from Manizales go to the Terminal Mixta and take a jeep for 3500 right to the door. Last one is at 5pm... More

I was camping at the hostal and stayed one day at the Hacienda Venecia in one of the rooms with shared bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The cafe tour was so much better than expected. Thanks very much, I had a great stay!

We stayed in the budget accommodation for a couple of nights and did the usual coffee tour during that time. Enjoyed the stay and the peace and quiet but now exactly blown away. The first night we arrived just as the staff we leaving so were pretty much just shown the room, however its always nice to be told about... More

This place is quite remarkable for a number of reasons - 1. The coffee tour is outstanding, and it would be a shame to stay here without partaking of the tour. I've been on coffee fincas and on coffee tours in other countries, but none were nearly so good as this one. It's not just about growing coffee, but about... More

We decided on Hacienda Venecia after reading the positive reviews on Tripadvisor and the venue certainly lived up to those expectations. The owner runs a tight ship and understands the needs of tourists and covers everything well. The staff are by far, well trained, genuinely friendly like most Colombians, welcoming and very warm. We stayed in the hostel and it... More

Crossing the bridge less river is part of the adventure! Any 4WD will do it, though. The place is as pleasant as anyone can imagine. We enjoyed, as a bonus, a small lesson in orchid growing from a local specialist. People are kind and friendly, rooms and facilities are clean, the coffee is great and, although we did make the... What a wonderful little oasis in the coffee triangle. This hotel/hostel is sparkling clean. Wonderful facilities which include beautiful garden, pool, hammocks and wonderful mountains surrounding the place. Owner of the plantation made everyone feel at home. Do take advantage of the unlimited coffee offered, it is absolutely the freshest coffee. Also, I recommend to do a coffee tour, you... More

You can stay in the hostel or the main house (for much more money!). We thought the hostel with very adequate en suite rooms was great (and the pool was better too!). The staff were very friendly (English spoken) and and the food was good (breakfast, lunch and dinner if you wanted). To get there it is probably best to... More

A really nice spot to relax and enjoy the plantation. Clean and comfortable and no safety concerns at this hostel. The tour of the farm is interesting and informative and the staff are friendly. Nice to stay outside of the city as the city didn't feel very safe.
