The Khongjiam is located remote, a couple of hours drive from Ubon. Everything is nice; the rooms, the pool, the environment. But the best thing about it is to sit at night at the restaurant, close to the river. The staff put lights in the trees and on the river bank. Very romantic. But there is nothing much to do... more

Good: Great location. Efficient service. Spotless rooms with good decor. Wonderful views of Mekong from the balcony. Very serene in the early hours of the morning, just before sunrise. Beware of the security guards watching you in the bushes! Honestly, I thought I was going to die when I saw a security crouching in the bushes carrying a big flashlight. I thought it was a gun.
