Location a little out of town and well away from the road. On arriving we passed some deer and llama farm lands from the neighbours before we arrived at this 1890 mansion. We stayed only one night and since we were the only guests, we could choose from the several beautifully decorated rooms. Naturally we took the large front side... More

This is probably the best B&B I have stayed in in NZ. Do not be put off by the long driveway without signposts. At the end of it is a magnificent house tucked out of the way surrounded by a lovely garden. A miniature kiwi Downton Abbey. Hosts are a very nice couple. Breakfast spectacular.

We chose to stay with Robin and Elizabeth after reading their excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. However nothing could have prepared us for this remarkable establishment. The house is a fabulous piece of New Zealand's architectural heritage and it is maintained in great style. The decor and furnishings would not be out of place in one of Britain's National Trust properties.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Llandaff, a 19th century country house filled with period antiques. Robin and Elizabeth were gracious hosts, taking time out of a busy afternoon to serve tea and chat with us about the house, its furnishings, and other interesting things about the area. The cooked breakfast was wonderful. A walk around the grounds is... More

Beautiful home filled with antiques. Our room was just fabulous, huge, with the feel of a bygone age. Robin and Elizabeth are charming and interesting hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Llandaff.

Llandaff is a magnificent house with a fascinating history. It has a drive one kilometre long and the rooms and grounds (including the transport) are truly majestic. Elizabeth and Robin are wonderful hosts and Elizabeth had prepared an excellent meal, with corn (from the garden) chowder followed by New Zealand leg of lamb. Despite our arrival an hour after planned,... More

We stayed at Llandaff for two nights and everything about the place was geat. It's a grand old house filled with antiques, yet very homely and welcoming, thanks largely to the service and care provided by the hosts, Elizabeth and Robin. They couldn't do enough for us, and even looked after our visitors exceptionally well. The large rooms are gorgeous,... More

As 2 cyclists touring NZ, we were thrilled to arrive at this destination we had booked via the internet. Llandaff is a beautiful, gracious residence with a wonderful array of antiques, lovely gardens and exquisitely fitted suites. Robyn and Elizabeth are simply charming hosts, and we enjoyed their company and fabulous meals. This location was definitely a highlight of our... More

The things that "make" a holiday are the sweet surprises like our stay at Llandaff with Robin and Elisabeth. Their hospitality was so personal we felt like we were old friends coming to visit. Llandaff House is quite a special place, beautifully decorated, full of special period pieces. The house is lovingly restored, and the furnishings, some of which belonged to... More

Booked the Llandaff over the Internet from England. What great rooms, huge size with all the fittings provided to take you back in time, but with good shower and bathroom facilities. Robin and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts, and rightly very proud of the accomodation they provide. A very enjoyable experience.
