We have never stayed anywhere quite like this. A very historic building with beams, huge wooden doors and thick walls. This is a place full of character, so don't expect everything to be as it would be in the Hilton. It's an amazing location and is, literally, in the middle of nowhere. Some slightly negative comments from other reviewers about... More

A National Trust rented property and in Sally a a National Treasure of a host. This was a real find. 16th Century house with a 21st century standard of comfort. Rooms, beds and breakfasts all reach a high standard. The farmhouse's situation is perfect with great views over farmland down to the sea at Winchelsea Beach. Not difficult to find... More

Highly recommended B&B. The lovely Sally is a gracious host and made sure that she was there when we arrived later than expected. This is a 16th century manor house and is owned by the National Trust so expect a well renovated and appointed place. We felt that we had gone back in time and felt very Tudor as the... More

This was the start of our holiday and we were travelling with another couple. Our advice would be to drive there during daylight hours (see previous reviews). The location is peaceful and our rooms overlooked the gardens and towards Winchelsea beach. As we were travelling with friends we shared a bathroom. That was spacious in itself but we thought required... More

We stayed for one night on a windy September day. A listed farm house with very good rooms and excellent breakfast. The only issue is that it is off th beaten track and so you have to drive to find somewhere to eat in the evening.

We stayed one night at Wickham Manor Farm with a couple of lifelong friends. The early Tudor house stands at the end of a sandy lane, populated by hundreds of rabbits, in the middle of a working farm raising sheep, beef cattle and arable crops. The garden views are a joy from every aspect, swallows nesting in the eaves swoop... More

We stayed at William Penn room in May. I totally agree with all the reviews above. Beautiful historical house, very quiet, peaceful surroundings. Service, food, ambiance essentially English at its best. A nice touch for breakfast, different from other B&B and hotels in UK : delicious fresh raspberries and strawberries instead of fruit salad from the tin with sour apples... More

As a frequent traveler to the UK, I wanted to introduce my Fiance' to the beauty of "1066 Country". That was in 2000, when we first discovered Wickham Manor Farm, and met Sally and Mason. We were greeted warmly, slept well, and enjoyed a great full breakfast. We've been back many times now--and it's only getting better. This is the... More

Me and my Mum stayed at Wickham Manor for a short break and was most enjoyable. Sally was very welcoming & helpful in recommending local attractions. We stated in the largest room overlooking the gardens & sea with a view of the medieval arch which we passed through many times. The rooms were very clean, plenty of space with a... More

What a wonderful stay we had at Wickham Manor Farm. The house is so beautiful and steeped in history. The hosts are just fantastic and we really enjoyed the fresh eggs from their farm and meeting "Dexter" the horse!!!
