4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2013 NEW

We stayed here for one night en route from Calais to Provence. The hotel definitely doesn't disappoint. My boyfriend had never visited France before (except Calais which doesn't count ;) so I wanted to surprise him with a chateau stay on our first night, and the Chateau d'Etoges was perfect. From the moment you drive down the gravel driveway towards... More

We thought we had a package deal $189euro including the spa but turns out it was an extra $72 euros each. The spa was not worth that as spa pool was not hot and only small sauna for 2 people. However the castle is amazing, we had a beautiful large room down stairs with nice bathroom. The lighting was poor... More

We stayed at Chateau D'Etoges on a 4 day visit to the Champagne region of France. We stayed in the old Chateau in a top floor room and experienced the old charm of the Chateau. After a very good light French breakfast we explored the region during the day and dined in the restaurant each night where the food and... More

We stayed one night at the Orangerie, making a point not to spend a lot more for a room in the chateau. Our room was nicely decorated with a window over looking the majestic driveway and park with vineyards on the hillside in the distance—very peaceful and serene. Unfortunately, we had awful cold and rainy weather. On a nice day... More

If you ever want to go to a castle, and be relaxed and spent some time in the countryside and also spend some time in France this is the real place for you. Located in a great surroundings surrounded by vineyards this little Château is a prime example of what the French kitchen and hospitality is. The surroundings and also... More

If ever there was a setting for my husband to win his argument for the primacy of French culture (over my preferred Italian), this is it. It is a country house hotel on a very grand scale. The chateau, a mostly 17th century confection built on the foundations of a Medieval castle, and still standing within its moat, stands in... More

From arrival to departure the service here was excellent. Our room and en suite on the top floor was large, yet warm, full of character and so peaceful. We ate in the Orangery and had the tasting menu. Superb! The sommelier had chosen excellent wines to accompany each course. Again the service and food were excellent. The walk in the... More

Should you ever be in the area, you have to stay here. If possible select a room directly in the chateau. You will get a very nice view and a good room size. You will love the decoration and atmosphere. The stuff is very friendly. When you have time, the spa is very good as well and offers everything you... More

We will return. Let me just start by saying that after having experienced the Chateau D'Etoge for the first time this Easter, we will be sure to return. My father and I drove down to the Champagne region from Oslo, Norway in hope to experience the rural and smaller aspects of the tremendous champagne market. Etoge is located somewhat out... More

We stayed in the chateau itself, so cant compare to the orangerie. Our room had a very old feel to it (creaking floorboards, lots of antique furniture and even the bed looked old!) We slept pretty well, went for a walk around the gardens and woods, the wifi is a bit intermittent as someone else had mentioned. We had dinner... More
