I use vane house as my 'base' when I do my annual lyke wake walk. I have stayed there lots of times and always found Alan welcoming and friendly. The rooms have always been warm and clean, with a good breakfast to look forward to. We will be back.

Outside looked good but never saw inside £60 for a single person for a room costing £85 for 2. Owners said to be concerned at lack of trade - they think it's all down to the weather. Other places on Cleveland Way also overprice single accommodation to discourage solo walkers - deliberately ?? Trev

I stayed here for one night. Check in was very welcoming, room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.
