I've just spent the last four nights at the Queen Catherine while on a course, nearby. The pub was comfortable, the food tasty and reasonably priced, and the staff really friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to return there. It's position on the edge of the North Yorks Moors is ideal as a base to explore. By the way, I passed.

We stayed at the Queen Catherine Pub for three nights very friendly, food good, nothing to much trouble for owners and staff rooms a bit small but it is an old pub, the village is lovely, only down thing the church bell goes dont stop at night so if you are a light sleeper ask to be at the front.
