Stayed two nights on dbb basis. Quiet room in annexe was spacious and well appointed, bathroom newly refurbished, large flat screen tv with all freeview channels. Food good and plentiful. Staff very obliging and friendly. Only downside no lounge but works are currently underway to resolve that problem. More

As previous reviewers have said, the hotel is trying to provide a good experience at a fair price. The room was spacious and well equipped; didn't use the bar or wifi, but breakfast was good. Reception was over-pressed, but that's a sign of the times. If you're heading up north, it's a good stop-off, only five minutes from the A1. More

It really is a nice location with a big garden and probably great for weddings. The room was comfortable with free wifi and a decent telly. Food was under par - basic pub food but either under orovercooked. The bar is OK but ther is nowhere else to sit and relax. More
