This newly opened hotel is conveniently locate on Chanthaburi Riverside near Robinson Dept. & Jatujak market. Each room includes comfortable duvet, Free WIFI, A/C, Fridge, LCD TV, hair dryer, desk and secured by Key Card System. Also to be found at the hotel are laundry service and Wi-Fi in public areas. With a full range of popular amenities and a friendly, caring staffs, it's no wonder guests keep returning to Rachan Residence.
Stayed here for 4 months while teaching at a local school. The rooms are very clean and modern with a great shower and hot water. We got a room with a fridge and sink which was so helpful in being able to make some of our own food. There is laundry (40bt per load) on the top floor with lots of room to hang all of your clothes to dry. The 5th floor is reserved for smoking rooms but the rest is non smoking. The air con works very well. Beds are fairly comfortable considering most of the hard beds in Thailand. The staff are just lovely. They don't speak a lot of English but I can usually get what I need from them. The building is quite secure. You need a key card to enter the building and to get up the stairs/elevator. Walk out the front door and there is a huge market as well as a mall with a grocery store. There are lots of massage places with great prices too (300bt for 2 hours!) The river is right next to the building and you can watch the sunset behind the river. My only real complaint here is the wifi. In 4 months we have never had one solid night of uninterrupted wifi. It will work, so if you just need it to look for your next hotel, you will be ok, but trying to do work with it - you'll be quite frustrated.…

Really clean, great rooms with good room service. The staff are friendly and helpful although it would help for someone on duty to speak English....even bad English would be better than none. The breakfast lady was wonderful. It would help if tea and coffee or even a jug to boil water was available in rooms. The Robinson Store across the road has the best air-conditioned Resturant with fabulous Dim Sim type food and the coldest Mango and other slushies. The Gem Market is a short taxi ride away.....none of the Taxi drivers spoke English which created some interesting taxi rides. Ask for the wonderful Ken the Canadian at the Gem Market.....he speaks English and will help you negotiate.

we stayed for 3 nights in october 2015 and were impressed with overall hotel amenities. Easy walk to most tourist points of interest. At the end of the block is a very good restaurant. A large local market is also right on the doorstep with lots of eateries small and large and a large modern shopping mall is also available there. Many locals from the town come in this area to do their shopping and have a good time. We used this town also as a stopover between bangkok airport and the island Ko Chang.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night and were very impressed. The location is fantastic, on the river and a 30 second walk to the big weekend market and Robinson's dept store. We paid 1000 for the double deluxe room with river view and considering this was a holiday weekend it was well worth it. The room was bright, clean and well equipped with good bathroom facilities. We looked at the KP Grand hotel first and they wanted 1300 for an old looking room overlooking an enclosed car park that smelled of smoke. The staff were pleasant and efficient and we'd definitely stay here again when back in this neck of the woods.

The hotel is good for the price. Rooms are clean and big enough. The hotel is located central so you can walk to all the tourist spots. Unfortunately the stuff of the hotel was very unfriendly to me. Not a single "Welcome", "thank you" or even a smile.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. I personally didnt enjoy the hotel. It was small and the room was ok for the price and it was clean though. We asked for a toothbrush although they didnt understand. Apparently they dont give you toothbrush there. The staff werent very welcoming and they didnt speak english well. We had trouble asking questions and trying to communicate with them. When we asked something, they replied rudely. Im not sure if it was late at night as we arrives late or because of the limited english words they knew. Nonetheless, it was cheap i think it was about 500 only

I was passing through and knew nothing about Chantabuti and I needed a room. I usually try near major shopping centers when in this situation. Saw the big pink building at the Robinson Mall and went to check it out. New hotel, very clean, great English speaking staff made my stay exceptional. If you are ever stuck in Chanthaburi, I highly recommend staying at the Rachan. Oh, and the breakfast was great.

I have stayed at the Rachan for 2 nights mid December 2014 and i must say it was great. Me and my girlfriend took a Deluxe Double Bed breakfast included for a great price over a hotel booking portal and it was great value for money. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, very nice bathroom (i assume just renovated) and a little kitchen with fridge. A great view of the sunrise and the busy market (a real Thai one, not the usual tourist market) included. Breakfast was very good, you could either take a continental resp. English breakfast or select between 2 warm Thai dishes. The hotel staff could hardly speak English, although they were very helpful as we needed urgent information. All in all very good and always recommendable, as it is the city of Chanthaburi. Worth a stay if you'd like to feel the real Thailand and a little Christian and Thai history (a beautiful church can be found not too far from the Rachan).…

Very clean; decently sized rooms; comfortable bed with soft pillows and very conveniently situated. It is just across the square from the market and a 2 minute walk from Robinson department store. Had a great weekend in Chantaburi, and will definitely stay here again.
