Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Atlantic Holiday Hotel is celebrated for its serene location and modern, inviting atmosphere, with many guests enjoying the clean, well-equipped pool area and rooms with kitchenettes. While the staff garners compliments for their friendliness, some inconsistencies in service have been noted. Visitors appreciate the hotel's exceptional cleanliness and the comfortable beds in the spacious rooms, but the absence of air conditioning and vibrant entertainment options has drawn some critiques. Moreover, opinions on the hotel's value vary, with some travelers finding the pricing reasonable and others questioning the additional costs.

We had a superior apartment with a ocean view. The sunsets were very spectacular. The room was decorated in a Scandinavian style. The apartment had a separate kitchen with basic equipment and appliances. The apartment was very clean and the hotel cleaners were very friendly. I would like to send them a special thank you. The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area and there is a beach nearby with lifeguards and some facilities. There are a couple of grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. We personally liked the quiet location, but the area may be too secluded for families with children and too quiet for people enjoying a night out. We didn't eat meals in the hotel restaurant so we can't comment on the food, but we did order ice cream from the pool bar once. The waitress at the bar was very rude to us and we did not use the pool bar any further. It should be noted that bar orders are put on the room bill and anyone can say any room number when ordering. When we check out from the hotel, they tried to charge us for orders we had not placed. The hotel reception is staffed mainly by young people. They smiled a customer service smile, but were generally not very helpful. Their answers also varied depending on who you asked at any given time. The hotel car park is problematic. It is reserved for hotel guests, but there is no gate or parking permit. The parking area was used by all the customers of the restaurants on the street and also by locals. There are therefore limited parking spaces. One evening we arrived in our rental car in the car park and a man in a hoodie approached us angrily. He did not introduce himself and we thought we were being robbed. He asked who we were and did not believe us when we told him we were hotel guests. Just laughed. He was apparently the hotel's night watchman. We did not think that this was the way to behave, even if we were outsiders. A sad end to our road trip.

Excellent hotel in a quiet location overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Food was great, lots of it and a vegetarian option on the menu every evening. Room was clean and a good size with a lovely terrace. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Would definitely return. Lovely holiday, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

All I can say is a 4* hotel with no air con in 30 degree heat and a room fan supplied to blow the hot air round the room is ridiculous. Paid £1600 for 10 nights self catering and bar woman refused me a paper cup with ice at the pool as cups and ice only for drinks that you purchase at pool. Never in any holiday we have been on have we been refused a bit of ice. Only saviour of holiday was I had pre booked a 2 night stay at Los cristianos in a 3* hotel and was heaven for 2 days with air con and a bar at the pool who yes believe it or not gave ice if you asked. Tenerife was beautiful just not Atlantic hotel.

Dear client, Thank you for taking your time to write this review about your experience. We are sorry the hotel did not meet your expectations. You can always receive a cup of ice when you buy something at the pool bar, with any drink. We are sorry that you did not want to consume anything at that moment. We hope that despite this, you have enjoyed your holidays in the island. You will be welcomed again if you decide to give us another chance on your next visit. Best regards, The Atlantic Holiday team.

Undoubtedly the seaview from this hotel is one of the best we have seen and watching the sunsets here were delightful. The staff are pleasant and hardworking particularly in keeping the rooms and hotel areas spotless. The customer service in certain areas was a little disappointing and the reason we couldn't give this a five rating. Firstly the hotel states in its advertising that a welcome drink / water available for arrivals. We arrived late when shops etc were closed and did not receive anything at all to drink either at reception or in our room. Having complimentary water in a fridge for arrivals should be a basic expectation. The hotel again had signs stating sunbeds couldn't be reserved but effectively did nothing to ensure this and allowed selfish guests to sneak out in the dark to place towels before sunrise / pool opening and leave these beds unused for several hours before they appeared. The staff allowed this on daily basis and some guests struggled for a bed at points. We simply moved towels when we had to. The food at the hotel was limited and honestly a bit overpriced compared to nearby local restaurants. If you are self catering the restaurants nearby are a far better option. Finally, the hotel has a curious policy of not allowing guests to book a room extension until the morning of your return day. Every hotel we visited in past were able to confirm the night before so you could plan your last few hours and packing etc. Overall it didn't feel like anyone was proactive from a customer service viewpoint but they were always pleasant enough. With a few improvements at little cost this hotel could guarantee a return visit but we have certainly had better welcomes and service elsewhere.

Dear John, Thank you very much for summarizing your stay with this review. It is a pleasure for us to know that you have enjoyed the room and the wonderful views of the sea. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee our guests a late check out, as it depends entirely on the availability of the day. All of our workers strive daily to offer effective service and achieve customer satisfaction. We are glad to know that you have noticed this, as well as the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities in general. Regarding the sunbeds, our lifeguard is always in charge of checking them and making sure everybody is getting a sunbed. We are sorry if you had any troubles with it. We really hope you choose us again for your holidays. Best regards, The Atlantic Holiday team.

We usually stay in Los Cristianos and fancied somewhere different this year .We have just come back from a 10 night stay, self catering at this gorgeous hotel. Our room was a superior double with balcony. We had view of pool and the sea. View was just amazing. The apartment was really nice. Everything we needed and just perfect for us. The hotel does not have air conditioning but they do provide you with fans. It has been really hot and the fan was used every night. We coped fine with it. All staff were extremely helpful and can't do enough for you..one particular lifeguard definitely went above and beyond with the guests. He always came to you with a parasol if you didn't have one. Not many would do that. Even went round the pool area in the morning. So the sun loungers what had already had towels on he put a parasol for the guests. We felt we didn't need to go and "reserve" sun loungers by putting towels on the sunbeds. Some obviously felt the need to. Plenty of sun loungers to choose from. The pool and bar area is excellent. The pool is cleaned every night by a robotic pool cleaner. The bar area is lovely we ordered lunch one afternoon and had a tune wrap. Best tuna wrap I have had. So good. We had breakfast the first morning at the hotel. Charged to our room number. Omg so much to choose from. Catered for everything. There is also a roof terrace with double sun loungers. We absolutely loved this area so peaceful, no music . Just heaven. There is a shower so you can cool down. We even went up one night and just watched the night sky and the surrounding area. Sorry to say we didn't actually have an evening meal at the hotel. We ate at surrounding restaurants. The place is very quiet compared to what we are use to. So we ended up going to Fanabe, Torviscas in the evening. Did it three times. Caught the 473 bus only cost €4 for both of us. Taxi back 15-20mins €17 ISH. Also went to the beach at Fanabe as didn't fancy the beach at Calleo Salvaje. Very rocky no sun loungers. There are Parasols. It wasn't too busy either depends what you like. Also if you are a book lover which I am. You will find book shelfs which on each floor. I took 4 with me and left them behind. Hopefully make someone's day when you have read all your books and you need another one! The bar area in the evening was lovely. Chill out lounge as I called it. My only one criticism is change your music around the pool area. Got a little tired of hearing 80's music. I felt it should be chill out music, cafe mambo, café del mar, suit the mood and the surrounds. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent

Me and my partner stayed here start of October for 1 week. On checking in with the lovely Maria, we were told we had been upgraded to a superior sea view apartment. The apartment was huge, walking in, straight to the most amazing sea view from the good sized balcony, lovely kitchen, big sitting room with settee and table. Bedroom was massive, comfy beds and lovely bathroom, shower was amazing. The hotel spotless, the staff all very nice and cheerful. All happy to help in anyway they can. We stayed all inclusive, the breakfast buffet style a wide range of options from full English breakfast, cheeses meats to cereal, fruit and pancakes. Tea/coffee fruit juices. Lunch was buffet style salads/fruit, breads and menu you pick from, ranging from toasties, burgers, omlettes and salads. Evening meal was buffet salads, fruits and a menu to chose from, the pork was lovely. And the Saturday evening bbq was brilliant, lots of different meats to choose from. Amstel beer and wines with soft drinks all on tap. The pool area was immaculatey clean, as was the whole hotel. Callao salvaje was a lovely quiet and peaceful place to visit. A nice selection of bars and restaurants in a 3 minute walking distance. The beach a 2 minute walk away, very beautiful little place. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week at this hotel. We had an evening flight back home to Newcastle and the reception staff were more than happy to let us keep our magnificent apartment on until coach pickup at 5pm...free of charge, which we were very grateful for. The only downside of this holiday is the hotel doesn't have air con, but our room had a fan which was ample with the windows open making a comfortable nights sleep. Can't wait to return. Lovely hotel with superb staff and sea view location.

I went on this holiday end of september start of october and went all inclusive only to find out its not all inclusive if you dont want to drink the gut rot of cheepest alcohol that they have and ask in my case gordons gin you have to pay extra if you want a bottle of water you have to pay if you want coffee at the bar you pay for it.I wouldn,t mind if I had been told this on booking or there was a premium drinks package but there is not a drink package you will only find out when you go up to the bar.

Dear client, We are sorry that we have not met your expectations regarding the all-inclusive. We want to inform you that we always have information regarding our pensions on the websites where you can book. As for alcoholic beverages, all our local drinks are included. It's a shame you didn't like any of them, but we'll keep that in mind for future occasions. You can get water from reception, since the bottles they dispense in the restaurant are glass and you cannot take them with you. We're sorry you didn't know about it during your stay. We hope you can visit us again on another occasion. Best regards, The Atlantic Holiday.

We visited late September for 10 days. I’ll break it down into bullet pointer pro’s and con’s for ease: PRO’s: - The hotel is immaculate, relatively modern and always clean and tidy. Cutlery, plates and glasses were always sparkling. - The food was tasty and was always served in generous portions. We stayed AI, see the con’s list for the few improvements that could be made. - We stayed in a Sea View Studio and the view on a morning / evening as amazing. The shower was a godsend, a rain fall feature was welcomed every night after the blazing heat. - All staff were very friendly, maybe too friendly when pouring the AI drinks from the pool bar. (See Con’s) CON’s: - The food does get quite repetitive. The same Lunch menu, 7 days a week. The Breakfast buffet is the same but there’s only so much they can do. - The Dinner / Evening menu was good the times we did try it, however, me and my girlfriend enjoyed eating out every other night to explore a little more. Avoid the BBQ buffet on a Saturday night… to be blunt, it was inedible. The chicken legs were the best but even still, it doesn’t make up for the rest of the fatty meats. - We lost water pressure due to maintenance which wasn’t the end of the world but it mean I had to take a quick shower with what little water came out. - Aircon would be amazing in this place. The fan provided helps but it’s still difficult to sleep. - This next point is by far the worst part of our whole trip which is why it didn’t get the full 5 Stars. The drinks selection is massively, massively lacking. There is one beer on draft which is Amstel… 3 - 4 cocktails to chose from and the spirits are cheap and hard to drink. No glassware around the pool which is understandable, however, 2 spirits and a bit of lemonade is hardly pushing the boat out for “cocktails” We really enjoyed our time here but there are room for improvements. I don’t think we would return for the drinks alone. When you pay for all AI you want a selection of drinks, all day, every day.

My partner and I have just returned from a well-deserved break in Tenerife. Our choice of the Atlantic Holiday Hotel couldn't of been a better one. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. We stayed self-catering and our room had everything we needed. On our arrival the process was very quick and efficient. We were allocated a sea- view room on the 1st floor, on opening the curtains to the balcony we both stood and looked at each other open mouthed at the spectacular view. The rooms are large with plenty of storage. We went for a stress free holiday and we were not disappointed. Plenty of sunbeds available everyday.... no towel hoggers and the pool area is kept spotless, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. A fantastic hotel... I would definetly recommend to anyone looking for a chilled a peaceful break.
