Last March 2012, I went to Macau with my brother for my birthday celebration. It was our first time in Macau. And since we wanted to allot our money in food and casino, we looked for a budget hostel and found Augusters Lodge. It was almost 11pm when we arrived. We knew that we will have a hard time finding... More

This lodge has great location which is near to senado square. But we had problem in finding this lodge at the very first time we arrived in Macau, even though we asked some locals. Thanks God, there's a lady who finally show us its right direction. My first impression about the building was a bit scary, especially when i climbed... More

the place although a little small, was still very clean and upkept by a dependable Filipina named ate Angie who never failed to treat us well during our 3 nights stay in this hostel. however, it requires sturdy legs as you need to go up a flight of stairs (no elevator), nevertheless, we enjoyed "filipino" hospitality which is rarely found... The hostel is really clean and near the center of Macau. Best places are walking distance. The hostel is small, but the staff friendly. Free wi-fi, and a computer is available. Please note that the 6 person room, where i stayed is really small, I would prefer to stay in the 2 person room. The bathroom is rathom small, but... More

Their online booking system does not work properly! If you make reservations you will be charged money but they may not keep your reservations! You will lose your money if this occurs, and you will have no place to stay! The lady that I spoke with about this informed us that the system error was "not their fault or their... More

Stayed here three nights and enjoyed it very much. The keeper is very friendly and speaks good English; she can give good advice about places to eat and how to get around. The place is central if not that easy to find upon first arrival. The rooms are not the most modern but clean. You can use the kitchen and... More

If your travelling not because of a 5 star hotel to stay with, but to enjoy what Macau has to offer, THIS PLACE IS BEST FOR YOU. First off, it's located on central Macau where most of the wonderful places are situated. Walking distance to Senado Square, Grand Lisboa hotel and casino, Ruins of St. Paul, etc. Secondly, the owner... More

Take a grand emperor shuttle bus from the airport, stop at the hotel , walk pass the Sintra hotel and cross the road. Good location. friendly staff. Room too small for 6 people. I stay 3 nights on top bunk bed. Beds full everyday. I was bite by bug bed. Air-condition very noisy. bathroom door lock doesn't work.

I like the staff because they are nice, esp the young filipino girl. The location is great as well as the budget. But the rooms are just so small and the towels smell like mothballs. You get what you pay for. And you only have one bathroom.
