I spent three days over the Easter weekend at Moon Mountain. The staff a extremely friendly and very helpful. The tented lodge is situated approximately 50 km from the Sesriem gate to Sossusvlei and less than 10 km from the petrified dunes. At lodge sits high on a mountain with amazing panoramic views and visitors will end up taking many... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of our trip around Namibia. This was a magical introduction to the peace and serenity of the area and the perfect start to our holiday. We were warmly welcomed by the staff on arrival and offered refreshments before being taken to our room - an airy canvas covered chalet on stilts looking... More

Set on a the edge of the mountain, with stunning views. This family run lodge is a welcome stop over. It is worth breaking the journey to Sossusvlei to overnight here. Warm, obliging staff, who were happy to cater to specific dietary requirements. Be sure to get there for a sundowner on the deck (with great snacks) and a great... More

We had 2 nights stay at Moon Mountain lodge and my guests and I had a fantastic time there. Staff were great and the food was excelent! One can not beat those views where one can just sit and be. Absorbing the surroundings and bird songs, nature noises and the stunning sunrise and sunsets.

My wife and I stayed at Moon Mountain Lodge in mid-September 2012 for two nights. We wanted a base close to Sossusvlei for a full-day trip there, and booking 6 months before traveling, were disappointed to find many lodges like Sossusvlei Lodge were already full for the dates we wanted. Our travel agent (Bonita @ go2africa.com) suggested Moon Mountain Lodge,... More

Having travelled to many locations around the world, this Lodge in my opinion has it all. It has all the facilities needed for a quiet relaxed and restful stay/holiday. Situated at one of natures most spectacular locations amongst the hills and dunes of the Namibian Desert. The owners are both friendly and extremely helpful. it is a must for at... More

I can not think of any better place, honestly, it's absolutely breathtaking. Everthing, just perfect. We stayed for two nights this August 2012, and will be back, for sure... The service, the rooms, the view....just gorgeous. We loved the food as well.

We spend a night at the Lodge. The setting of the lodge, including accomodation (tents), bar (sundowner deck) and restaurant is spectacular and the view fantastic. However, the lodge lacks that special touch and I am thus unsure if it can be recommended. The food was standard and although the staff was friendly, it was difficult to get basics e.g.... More

Stayed in this very unique hotel in mid July with a tour. The owners were very friendly and we were warmly welcomed by many staff with a cold towel upon arrival. The location of the hotel was up on a hill and we felt like the earth was under our feet. All guests were treated to high tea with excellent... More
