A delightful family-owned hotel which offers warm hospitality, good service and excellent value for money. The hotel is full of character, and the fact that most staff members have long service there speaks for itself. The location is very peaceful and the garden quite charming. No doubt it will be a very popular wedding venue in view of the historic... More

Me & my husband had our wedding reception here. The staff were friendly, professional & were extremely attentive! The restaurant was decorated beautifully & exactly how I had asked for it to be presented & also how I had imagined it in my head prior to the wedding! The gardens were gorgeous & made my photographs look stunning! The food... More

We visited the hotel as a party of 20 family members for a celebratory meal and were more than satisfied with the food and service. We can only rate this hotel as highly recommended. We chose Oakwood Hall because we had visited Oakwood Hall several times previously and have not been dissatisfied with value, food or service.

I stayed for 2 days last week and was very impressed the moment I walked through the door. The staff are very kind and helpful and couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable. The restaurant is great and the food is delicious. I will come again.

We attended a wedding here and stayed overnight. The hotel has recently been refurbished and looks great. The rooms were warm and the bed was comfy. Food was great and the staff were friendly- nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue

A very good 3 star but definitely not a 4 star. Staff are very friendly but the place is very tired in parts. Food is perfectly reasonable but don't really like kitchen for wedged open so you can hear ask the noise fans etc. not to mention how dirty the floor is yuk. I did have a free room upgrade... More

The hotel is very traditional and parts of it could do with re-decoration but this is more than made up by the friendliness and helpful staff the were very welcoming and did the little things well. The room we were in was a bit cold the heating was on but it was a large room with a three seater settee... More

We went to a family get-to-gether at this hotel last weekend. We were not sure what to expect as the hotel was chosen for the event by someone else in the family and we are from out of the area. After missing the turning for the hotel and ending up at the nearby housing estate, we arrived at the venue,... More

Just spent the weekend here and it was lovely. Staff were welcoming and very attentive. Only ate breakfast at the hotel but it was lovely. Would definitely stay again.
