I fear I am going to have to agree with other reviewers and La Cour Carree is simply a gem. We stayed there during a smelly, noisy motorbike trip (so clearly the owner should have been worried seeing us arrive in our motorbike gear which could suggest we were more used to camping cars than 5 star hotels) and were greeted by a lovely American woman. She introduced us to her house which is full of charm, lovely decoration and very pleasant to live in. The village is also lovely to go around.
The room we stayed in was large with a very large shower-room and the wondow overlooked the roof and has direct views on the mountains around.
In the morning the breakfast was served in the loverly courtyard with nice music playing in the playground. The breakfast was plentifull and of very high quality.
The owner was also absolutely lovely and helpes us sort out things.

One thing though is that it can be found on booking.com but be aware that it is more a guest house than a real hotel (and I am saying this with the positive assumptions this could mean).

It was one of the best positive surprise I have had in a few years so would highly recommend it.

It is always difficult to return to accommodation when the first time was perfect. Will it be able to meet such high standards yet again? Have no fear! La Cour Carree in Rustrel continues to strive and achieve excellence. Yet again, they have surpassed my expectations. Impeccable bedroom, clean, light, airy and surprisingly quiet given that La Cour Carree is in the heart of the sleepy village of Rustrel. Breakfast sublime!

Live life in the sleepy Luberon village of Rustrel, where baguettes are crunchy and jazz music tinkles in the streets. Perfect accommodation: outstanding linens, bed comfort and pillows, cleanliness and size of the room make this a stay to remember. Thank you tireless busy bees, Sheila and Mike who make the world's perfect breakfast with a smile. Did not want to leave. Merci.
