We took some visitors to Scotland to the Pier House Hotel. We have been before, about four years ago. The Pier House has since won some awards and we can understand why. This hotel is really different. We had a superior room with our own door out to the Pier. The bed was wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful. We cannot... More

We stayed last weekend Fri to Sun. The welcome from Caroline was excellent. Our room was lovely, spacious and with an awesome view on to the loch. Beds were really comfortable too. They catered for me ( Coeliac ) really well and it is much appreciated. Our party had dinner on Friday night and were wished an enjoyable meal and... More

Nick & Nikki make you very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Restaurant was excellent, we had the seafood platter to die for, what a feed. In fact everything was excellent - Staff, restaurant and room. Hopefully we can return in the near future, but next time I hope the weather will be kinder, no rain. Thank you all... More

We had eaten in the restaurant several times over the years and had always promised ourselves the treat of an overnight stay. We were not disappointed. Our room was spacious with an excellent attention to detail. The staff were attentive without being intrusive and we had a most enjoyable (all too short) stay.

Has a wonderful weekend here in February when the light was just unbelievable and the warm welcome of the place even better than it was on a previous visit. And ignore whoever posted bad things about the barman. I'm not a relative or anything but he was a great guy. Keep up your "no customer skills" as I liked the... More

Drive along gorgeous Loch Linnhe take the right turn to the Lismore ferry and be prepared to be delighted. The Pierhouse must occupy one of Scotland's most coveted locations and that is saying something. The view is superb. The island of Lismore is reached by the foot ferry just in front of the hotel. It is peaceful, endlessly enchanting to... More

An excellent small hotel, set by the dock & small pebbly beach of Port Appin. We were brought here by friends who were already fans but they did not mislead us. The hotel staff are friendly & helpful and the rooms of high standard; our bed had a new mattress which was incredibly comfortable & the "rain" shower was bliss... More

Well, I had rated this place as EXCELLENT in my previous reviews, and my other half saw them and put in her own opinion, which has now been factored into my own opinion - and this will provide potential guests with a highly accurate review of the establishment. Port Appin is remote, down a single track road and the views... More

Stayed here for a special celebration with 10 members of family. The staff could not have been more accomidating and attended to our every need. The rooms are luxurious and well maintained. The location is a bit out of the way but the scenery is gorgeous with lots of lovely walks. Dogs are also welcome which was a lovely touch!!

An excellent small hotel set in an idyllic background. The very best of service, high standards in cuisine and cleanliness from beginning to end of stay. An ideal place for touring the West Highlands. Thoroughly recommended for both short break or extended stay and eat at the seafood restaurant, marvellous
