We stayed 2 nights here at the beginning of March- so no surprise that for 1night we were the only guests. So we would not have been surprised to have a pretty basic dinner. But what we got was a lovely evening, eating in an intimate dining room with a log fire, and a full choice from their menu individually cooked.Madame... More

This place was expensive, $274AUD per night. This does not include breakfast, tea & coffee making or decent bath towels. The bath towels were very small and incredibly thin, the bathrobes were grey/white which was off-putting, paint was peeling, decor bright orange and red. Not our taste at all and fairly basic. Dinner was available for 38 euro, set menu,... More

A lovely hotel and well worth finding for the superb quality of the food alone. We stayed for two nights and the spacious room had everything you could need and if not, I'm sure the excellent owners and staff would go out of their way to help you. I'm not sure if the sitting room could really be called that,... More

We stayed for one night on our way to Bordeaux. We had our choice of rooms since we were the first of the guests to arrive. The outside grounds are beautiful and the nearby church and houses are breathtaking. The weather was not so good, so we were unable to really enjoy the outside areas. Our room was very clean... More

We spent 3 very pleasant nights at the hotel to explore this part of France. The hotel is small, only 8 rooms, but the standard of accommodation is good, well organised and very friendly. There is a visible hands-on approach from the owner, Madame Morgades, who takes time to talk to her guests and is always on hand to see... More

I happened to stay at his location during a drive from Toulouse to Limoges. Having arrived on a Sunday, the hotel restaurant was closed. There is nothing really to eat around town, so I ended up driving back towards the freeway and picked up burgers at McDonald's. The hotel is family owned and run, and it was indeed a very... More

Stayed for One night on the way to a boating holiday. Old house...large rooms..very good..(not cheap!) evening meal Staff were happy to explain the bits of the menu we diddnt understand in English. Breakfast was good. Thought the whole place was a bit expensive for the experience. A bit remote so I wouldnt spend a long time here.

The Manoir de St jean is absolutely charming. The ONLY fault that I could give it is that there is no Salon in which to relax at the end of the day: when the weather is good this doesn't matter, as one can enjoy the garden. In the morning one can use the wonderful east facing, first floor terrace. The... More
