We are for Puerto Rico and we traveled 22 hrs. straight to get to Saint Jean ) San Juan- Miami-Madrid - train to Pamplona and taxi to Saint Jean)...so a very nice place to stay at was very welcomed. It was the beginning of our very long journey so we slept and ate very well. It is quite pricey especially... More

We stayed here 15 years ago and it was a great experience. This trip, the hotel had been remodeled, and the service and and accommodations were as good as our memories. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and well furnished. The restaurant was excellent, with a wonderful menu and great presentation. They still serve a favorite wine, Jurançon Blanc. The location... More

We knew the next few weeks were going to be "roughing it" on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route. After a red-eye flight, three trains and a bus, it was a relief to arrive at the Hotel Les Pyrenees, knowing we had two nights to switch time zones and prepare for our hike. We checked in late but the restaurant... More

My friend and I stayed there for 3 nights, 2 nights with half board. We found it to be a very nice hotel with lovely pool. We had asked for half board and were given the gourmand package, this included breakfast and dinner with menu of the chef’s choice, 6 courses and very nice. chef Arrambide produced some delicious dishes... The staff of this hotel work hard to please and are welcoming. The hotel is immaculate and the larger rooms we stayed in was one of the nicest ever. Huge with a balcony and very quiet. The front of the hotel may turn you off a bit -- in the midst of a busy street. And, in exploring parts of... More

We arrived after a long drive to be greeted by a cheerful young man who spoke perfect English. While the interiors are very old school, our room was modern, brought and charmingly provincial. I'm not sure if we could stay more than a night though. Food by chef Arrambide was amaazing, if a little too rich as it lies more... More

Great hotel and staff. Excellent restaurant. Located on main street in center of town. Very close to Rue du citadel and the beginning of the camino de Santiago. Worth a day hike to refuge Orisson for lunch. It is 2 hour walk up but views are stunning. It gives a nice feel for what the pilgrims on the walk experience.

We stayed there for 3 nights with a one year-old. Upon arrival we were welcomed by very nice and helpful staff. Located in the town-centre it is well insulated from noise and thus quiet. All along our stay everybody was very nice and helpful, great when you have a one year old along (e.g.: high-chair). The restaurant is one of... More

This hotel is on the main road in the village of St Jean Pied de Port in the Pays Basque country. The village is at the confluence of 3 roads and on the Compestela route. It gets a lot of road traffic during the day but quietens down considerably at night. The village is a delight to explore. The hotel... More
