The breakfast was good and the location of the hotel. The lady at the reception was very friendly. The beds and the pillows were too soft. As a result I could not sleep well. The room was spacious! A bit overprized in general!!

I chose this hotel as it had good parking, was in a useful location for travelling down through Norway and wasn't expensive and all these things were true. Not much more to say that other reviews haven't already said, so I'll leave it there.

Easy internet reservation. Ample parkingspace. Friendly and efficient reception. Room is adequate, no frills but the bed is good. Free wifi. Breakfast is excellent!

I planned to ski at Hemsedal but could not find a hotel room there. No problem. There are alternatives in the town of Gol which is less than a half hour away and the Solstad Hotel is just one of them. A very nice motel, loved the wooden verandas attached to each room. Rooms were comfortable, with crisp white linen and spacious bathroom. Wonderful choice of food for breakfast, including about 10 types of cheese, jams, juices and freshly baked bread, feeling hungry thinking about it now. Staff are very kind and helpful, would definitely recommend this place.
