I stayed here from 16-18May2013. This is a very nice property right on the shores of the Vembanad lake. This was our first visit to Kumarakom and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Illikalam Lake resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful.We are vegetarians and the kitchen was able to cater to our dietary needs.

This is a tiny resort well organized one!. If you think this is the whole world in Kumarakonum then you are wrong but this is the best budget with no frills resort. Very calm, relaxing and nice to be in for mood changer!!! Only lacking is swimming pool. But Fine! Mruthyunjaya

My husband and I are independent travelers from Alaska. We were traveling with a friend. This was a very quiet and pleasant place. I really liked the location of the resort. Cottage I stayed was few meters away from Vembanad lake with excellent view. Cottages have all basic facilities. Common facilities are basic in nature. Food options are are limited and it took long time to serve after ordering. Staff is very friendly and are always ready to help.
