Carol and Roy are excellent hosts and made me feel very welcome, which as a lady travelling solo made all the difference! The house is old, quirky, but very comfortable and the bedroom and other facilities top notch. There is a small - but perfectly formed - garden to gaze onto when having breakfast in the lovely kitchen. Could have stayed longer! Highly recommended.

You are made to feel welcome from the minute you park your car! Carol and Roy are brilliant hosts and go the extra mile every time. It’s so easy to stay here with private parking,a very pretty village to enjoy and easy access to local National Trust properties and more and a choice of places to eat and drink within walking distance.

Just returned from spending 4 nights with Carol & Roy in their lovely house, yes house, and very much so. You feel that you are staying with friends .Such lovely people that you almost forget that you have to pay for the privelige. The house is a slice of Olde England, creaky floorboards, and latch doors, but open your wardrobe and you will find fluffy bathrobes. The breakfasts are lovely, porridge from the Aga, with honey and cream, multi fresh fruit salad, toast with home made local honey, and a fried breakfast if required. Roy And Carol, are the perfect hosts. Carol in particular having a lovely sense of humour. We absolutely loved both our accomodation, and them. Will we return? What do you think?

So glad you enjoyed staying. Can I say we really loved having you two stay with us. We certainly had a fun time together at breakfast and yes, my jokes are funnier than yours, john! We “sort a” forget we live in such an historic house. Thanks for reminding us. Lindfield is a great place to stay isn't it. Looking forward to your next stay. Lots of love carol. Xx

Stayed at short notice with Carol and Roy. The accommodation was really great, comfortable and spotless. The hosts were superb in making me feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure they had provided everything possible to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The setting was peaceful and very restful - I was amazed that after showering, on arrival, the towels were replaced when returning from a meal in the village. I am very comfort in recommending The Pilstyes as a B&B of choice.

I have stayed here before and found it to be so good. A return visit which felt like catching up with old friends! A comfortable room with en-suite is beautiful surroundings, everything to hand,no noise even though you are in the middle of the village so a good nights sleep and then a lovely breakfast. Always made welcome and nothing is too much trouble for Carol and Roy. My only choice for a place to stay in this area!
