We had the opportunity to have dinner at this location. It was a Friday evening and we were the only two people in the restaurant. We left at 6:00 pm. The food although presented very well was not good. The chicken was very dry. Almost as if it had been prepared on another day and held over. I would not... More

Friends of ours arranged for a room for us at the Puddicombe after our wedding at Kitchener City Hall. We stayed in the Jackson room with a comfortable King size canopy bed. The bed was covered in local handmade quilts that were so detailed and beautiful. We learned at breakfast, before the Cressman family purchased it the house, it was... More

Geoff and I stayed at the Puddicombe House on Friday night, February 1, 2013. It was a very pleasant experience from arrival to departure. The owners, Karen and Lyle Cressman, were the perfect hostess and host and they made us feel at home. Alison greeted us on arrival and Crystal was our waitress. They were very courteous. We enjoyed our... More

As someone who travels often for business and typically stays at moderate+ hotels like Hampton Inn (and higher when fortunate) and who is a bit worn-out with the daily oatmeal for breakfast, the Puddicombe House and service by Lyle, Karen and staff was a great reliever, and mini-getaway even though I was in the area on business. First, the owners... More

I stay at the Puddicombe whenever I travel to the area for business and have had other business people stay here as well. It is one of my favorite places to stay in the world! It is always nice to go someplace and have the owners and the staff remember you and they do it well. Rooms are very nice... More

We have visited Puddicombe House since it opened at least once a month for either dinner or lunch. We have also booked a surprise Birthday party here and have attended New Years dinners (last 3 years) and attended the Murder Mystery night and through out all of these visits we have never been disappointed. The food is amazing...always. Never had... More

This lovely building has no ramp for disabled persons. It has a porch with at least five steps. When we made reservations for our celebratory dinner (four birthdays including the birthday of my mum turinng 92) we asked if there was provision for the disabled. They said no, but that they would have two strong men on hand to lift... More

My husband and I visited the Puddiecombe House after a show in Stratford. I was a little unsure about the B&B, as I wanted a private escape for the night. We were both surprised at the quality and attentive staff members at the Puddiecombe House. We stayed in the Puddiecombe room and was taken back by the quality of work... More

This is an odd and relatively unsatisfactory property with many flaws as a B&B: Some facts: We were two couples, and our room was big enough to accommodate a comfortable king-sized bed, but there were only two small hard-backed chairs provided for sitting. The only comfortable place to sit is on the bed. That might have been OK if, as... More

Puddicombe House is my kind of place. I'm not a big fan of the B&B, feels too weird sleeping in a stranger's house and not as keen as some with the chit chat. Puddicombe House is more of an Inn than a B&B. It is very nicely decorated. It has 6 rooms, all on the second floor, a restaurant and... More
