I love the Chinese menu at Paradise Hotel. Every time I go it's always great. And you know Juba has plenty of Chinese and faux-Chinese food. You get plenty of food with your meal. The Sizzling Pork, Beef and Chicken are well-flavored, fantastic dishes. I usually see at least 3 tables with one of the Sizzling dishes whenever I arrive.... More

Food is amazing here. Period. I have no idea what everyone else is talking about. I've eaten her 20+ times and never been disappointed. They have a Chinese and Indian chef and they definitely know what they're doing. They make the food fresh and if you're seating upstairs it's got a great environment and you can even see the chefs... We've stayed several times in the past but never again. Overpriced, too many power outtages, poor internet connection, bad shower/water pressure, warm aircon, and too many flies around the food. Restaurants randomly closed for private functions or run out of food. You wait 1.5hrs for food to arrive. They charged US320/night for doubleroom and I didn't have one decent shower... More

I know a few people who have stayed in Paradise and been quite happy with it. The upstairs restaurant has pretty good pizza (al ponte in particular), however I ordered a Chinese dish once and it was terrible! It's a really nice place to sit though, one of the nicest in Juba, and the service is generally ok. Downstairs buffet... More

I nearly gave this hotel 4 stars. Juba is not a holiday destination right now, the city is devasted after 23 years of war. So I wasn't expecting much from the Hotel Paradise. However I must admit initially to being pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Staff were pretty friendly and reacted quickly to any query I had - everything was... More

You have to see this hotel in the context of the country and specifically of Juba town. Therefore, I can't identify with the previous negative Spanish comment. I found it a relaxing place with a nice patio where you could relax in the shadow of an umbrella with a cold Heineken beer. The rooms were tidy and with airco. Staff... More

With the typical WFP flight being hours behind schedule, I missed my connecting flight and ended up going with the Jet Link crew to their office and Paradise Hotel was next door. I wasn't prepared to spend $100+ to stay overnight, but I think this was about as good as it gets for Juba. I ate at the Chinese restaurant... More
