Awesome resort to enjoy the beauty of kerala. Views from the rooms are incredible. Food at the restaurant is excellent with a wide range of dishes. This resort turned out to be one of the most wonderful hotels I've ever stayed at.

Recently visited the retreat Ashtamudi. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms and the service are excellent and staff are very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Room service was good. And ripples (REST) it was great experience, very good ambiance, professional service all over out standing

Recently visited the retreat Ashtamudi. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms and the service are excellent. From there Neendakara is nearby, visited the fishing harbor also, saw a variety of fishes. It is quite peaceful at the resort, away from all the noises of the city. A wonderful experience.

The hotel is built in a line on the side of the lake serviced by 1 path. There is no shop or place to buy alcohol on site, you have to get a taxi into the nearest small village. Recently visited Backwater retreat, Ashtamudi and liked the beautiful view of the lake from the banks. Though the summer rains only added fuel to the scorching heat, the stay was peaceful. It was the nesting season of birds and found the nests of ‘near threatened’ Oriental Darters with chicks peeping from inside while doing the cruise boat ride.

The resort in itself is good. However, because of the location, you have to rely completely on the resort arrangements to go out anywhere - even to buy petty stuff. i am currently at the resort staying in 1 bhk, floating cottage. the bathroom stinks....the air condition does not work....told mahindra people to shift me to other room, even a hotel unit...they refuse that nothing is available....there is no hospitality....when the managers of the resort are told to attend to us...the managers choose not to attend and send their relationship... “Good and relaxing stay”

I was there for an official trip and stayed in floating cottage, it was so so so good experiences. The staff and location was great. Food was ok. Friendly and Helpful staff from gate till end. wish to go back again. thanks a lot for made my stay remarkable.
