Set in a narrow, little street off the quay at Wivenhoe, this cottage was a great overnight stay for us. The room was warm and comfortable with a small en-suite shower room. Being on the first floor of an ancient establishment the stairs were steep and narrow and needed to be negotiated with care. Breakfast was served in the downstairs... More

The B&B was booked for my parents who stayed there for 4 nights. They felt absolutely comfortable and loved the original style of the place. Sarah really goes a long way to make you feel comfortable. Both my parents don't speak English but this never was an issue. The charm of the B&B is that is is so small and... More

Stayed here for a couple of days recently and have to say how wonderful it was. The owners were very welcoming and lovely. The location was just perfect and the room had a cute charm which was very comfortable.

The same can be said of the towels and bed linen. The bathroom was a tiny closet barely big enough to turn round in, the plumbing leaked whenever the... More

Me and my partner went for a long weekend by the sea. I really felt I had to recommend it as it was just stunning. Wivenhoe is a small pretty riverside village it reminded me of a English version of Dawsons Creek. There are lots of things to do,we ended up going on lots of beautiful walks everyday and spending...
