This is the Best B&B we have had the pleasure to stay in and we would not hesitate to return. We generally tend to stay at hotels rather than B&Bs because it seems so hard to find places that offer the right balance of privacy, comfort, service and friendliness but I have to say that we found it at The... Dear Fellow Traveller, We stayed in The Moose for 2 nights, we were blown away about how friendly Melody and Sven were. Nothing was a problem and we felt like friends staying and not like guests. The place is amazing with great facilities for the guests to use ( chef's kitchen, professional bbq, large comfy sitting room with telly, books... More

This was our first time in Dorset and we thought it was a very cute little town. This b&b has an upscale feel in a relaxing location. Dorset is very, very small and everything is very much in walking distance from The Moose which overlooks the water and features a dock right on the water. Nearby to Algonquin Park and... More

My girlfriends and I were looking for a weekend getaway up North to take a break from the city, Toronto. We all have family cottages, but were looking for something a little different, fuss free and no families...can't have a girls weekend with them around! We heard about The Moose and when we saw how reasonable the prices were for... More

Our trip began in Alpena, Michigan on August 23rd 2011 and ends with friends on Sept 2nd, 2011. In between we made many stops from Sault Ste Marie, Canada to Dorset. Of all the places we booked, never knowing what one would find when you arrive there, the initial feeling of this place sounded wonderful. As we stated earlier, the... More

What a wonderful get away! Perfectly located on the water and within walking distance to "Robinsons" and all amenities, The Moose is the obvious accommodation choice for Dorset and surrounding area. Hostess Melody cooked us up a wonderful breakfast each morning that kept us going til supper time. Her stuffed French Toast is to die for. And make sure you... More

The Moose is a fantastic getaway comprised of three rooms of varying sizes, but in common are the great hospitality. With the hostess Melody and her warm family, her modern touch to the cottage life and her delicious gourmet breakfasts that will fill you up for most of the day, this place is truly amazing. We had a great time... More

I had been planning to propose to my girlfriend and had booked a weekend away at The Moose for us as we were both too busy for a vacation and its only a couple hours north of the city so we could at least get away for a few days. My girlfriend had neer been to "cottage country" and ejoyed... More

My wife and I spent five nights at the Moose B&B and loved every minute. The house itself is fantastic, beautifully decorated and with lovely gardens leading down to the lake. The owner Melody was the perfect host - amazingly friendly and making us feel so welcome and relaxed. The hospitality we received from her (and her parents when they... More

Our stay at this beautiful B&B in Dorset was absolutely perfect. Our Hostess, Melody, made sure that everything was absolutely perfect! Melody is a fantastic chef and the omelette we were served for breakfast was the best i have ever tasted. I look forward to going back for another visit to this beautiful location! More
