I stayed in the Knotty cottage at the end of June and was the only person in the resort for much of my stay. The place was exactly what I was looking for. Clean, well equipped cottage. Spent a lot of time canoeing, birdwatching, just taking it easy. Gary & Pippa were great. Can't wait to go back.

I went up this past weekend with 3 of my friends for our annual guys weekend. It was a great experience from the moment we got there to the moment we left. Gary and Pippa run a fantastic place and you would be extremely hard pressed to find a detail they have overlooked. We arrived to our cabin and the... More

We have stayed here twice and will be back again. The first time was last Christmas when our family gathered from all over North America to spend the holidays together; eight of us fit comfortably in Cabin B. We felt at home right from the start with incredibly friendly and helpful service from the owners. The chalet was clean, cosy... More

We took advantage of the romance in the woods package. and very glad we did. Worth every penny for the amazing meals, and experience. We booked the Knotty Cabin (Cabin 1). And right from the beginning Gary (The owner) was making me feel very welcome. The experience continued as the weekend went on and we came to love every minute... More

Six of us stayed at Chalet B and had a wonderful time. The owners were helpful when we needed them, and unobtrusive when we didn't. One of our friends was stuck in white out conditions about 15 minutes away, and Gary was quite willing to drive us to rescue her in his 4x4 truck - talk about going the extra... More

We wanted a secluded cabin for a Christmas getaway from the city. We booked cottage one - Notty cottage as it was detailed as the most secluded. For winter activities they offered ice skating and snow shoeing (at a cost to hire) and the cottage was right by the lake. Even before we arrived the owners were really nice and... More

We had an excellent few days holiday at the beginning of September with friends from UK. The resort was quiet, but very cosy. Cottage was small (did indicate that on the site) but adequate for 4 adults and well equipped and clean. Gary and Pippa made us vey welcome and our comfort was their prioity, they went out of their... More
