I was part of a group of four that stayed here for the night as we explored Raglan. Like Raglan the hostel is very chilled out and the staff are incredibly helpful. Lots of equipment was available to rent and they helped us get ourselves set up with some surfing lessons. We were in the house adjoining the communal garden,... More

My partner and i checked in last minute and had a comfy double bed and clean room for $68. We were pretty tired after trekking and swims so just wanted to relax on a Thursday night. We bought back some Indian takeaways from namaste which were delicious and ate them in the communal garden area where there were people relaxing... More

Raglan BPers is the best. The staff are super friendly, awesome people. The environment is chilled and so relaxing. The surf rentals are good value. I met so many lovely people. The rooms are beautiful (I stayed in many) Close to everything you could need. For me, it started to feel like my home. I particularly loved the backhouse. Really... More

This nice little has a chill vibe and is a great place to just relax. First, and most importantly in my opinion, the hostel is incredibly clean. They have good deals on surf board rentals!!! The staff are especially friendly and informative. The beds are very comfy. They have a hot tub to use for free (how often do you... More

We stayed here just 3 days last April and it was by far our favorite spot in NZ. Location is perfect, town is charming and the staff is amazing (shout out to my healthy food lovin' guy, Josh!) This place is what backpackers SHOULD be, not the sterile, sort of creepy places that abound today. You're the best, Raglan Backpackers,... More

Wow! What a great place! The location is amazing, it has such a wonderful view! It is clean and comfortable, but it is the staff that set this place apart. There is so much to do in Raglan, and the staff go the extra mile to help their guests enjoy all that Raglan has to offer. Surfing, kayking, windsurfing, SUPing,... More

I had such a great time in Raglan! This backpackers is one of the best I've ever stayed at. I was traveling by myself but had no trouble making friends and meeting like-minded people here. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the facilities were everything I could ask for.

I really thought places like this were a thing of the past - but I was wrong. Not only were the staff great (no freaks, no fakes), but most of all these people are not here to take your money or to try to sell you anything. They just provide a super comfortable, cozy, no hassle place to chill out... More
