Stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and used this gorgeous cliff-perching castle-top location as our base for visiting Mt. Etna, Taormina, Catania, and other sights. Loved the hotel. Very nice hotel perched on an outcrop of rock above Taormina. Varying levels of accommodation - we went de luxe with Etna view and balcony. Good facilities, pool, sauna, gym etc.. The staff, which includes Giuseppe, Adrianna and Maria, couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was expertly prepared in a wonderful setting overlooking Mount Etna. Our room was a haven from jet lag and Hotel Villa Sonia is the perfect place for total relaxation, with the option of taking interesting daytrips if you wish. More
