Beautiful historic castle right on the Rhine in the vine covered Rheingau region. Not touristy, great village next door and outdoor eating with the river at your feet...well almost, it was flooding at the time. Rooms ok but get one with a river view if you can. Unsurpassable outlook.
Burg Crass is the oldest preserved building in Eltville and part of the structure dates from the 12th century. The hotel is surrounded by a large park and features a garden restaurant, both with splendid views of the Rhine river. The whole setup is rather charming.

What a beautiful location on the banks of the river Rhein. Just a few rooms and a very warm service, die make our stay very pleasant. THE food is very good. The rooms are spacious and also very good for families. The garden is beautiful.
we were looking for a castle styled hotel. this is a close call for the money, but not really authentic. rooms are spacious but not stunning. breakfast is awesome as you sit by the river in a nice overgrown garden.
My husband and I were in Eltville for a family wedding and several of us booked rooms at Burg Crass. The hotel is very small, really just 6 or so rooms above the restaurant of the same name. In fact, there is no lobby proper and check in is in the restaurant.
