The other WWII sites are also within easy driving distance on very modern roads. We visited Ouesterham to see the French Commando Museum, the Pegasus Bridge, the German gun emplacements at Longues-sur-Mer, Omaha Beach and the Cemetery, Point du Hoc, St. Lo, the Cimetiere Militaire Allemand at Orglandes and Utah Beach. The room was large and very comfortable. Ours was the Omaha room with an en suite bathroom and two balconies allowing for nice views of the beautiful country side. The location was excellent for our needs. We were close to both Omaha Beach (and the American cemetery which is co located there) and Utah Beach. It is located south of Carentan and north of Periers, both very nice small French towns.
