  "We have just returned from a week's stay at Santa Marina Plaza where we both had a fantastic time. We had room 315 which was really good, with an excellent view of the resort's pool and the sea. The front door of the room backs onto the main road so you may hear some traffic noise at night but thi..."s is nothing to worry about. The resort was quite quiet so perfect for a relaxing holiday. Special thanks to Anna on the front desk who came to our rescue with a travel adaptor after we left ours at home (!) and also to Stamatis and Manolis who were the perfect friendly hosts during our time in the dining/bar areas. The location is just a short taxi/bus ride into the main port of Chania which had many shops and restuarants and also just a short walk into the main Agia Marina area which also had lots of bars/restaurants.   "Very good but let down by simple things"
  "Just got back from a week at Galini Sea View Hotel. For the price we paid for an all inclusive week it was fantastic but for people viewing this hotel as a 5 star hotel then things are different. It was clean, staff very very friendly, a vast array of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (over 30 ..."plates to choose from!). Hotel and rooms very clean. BUT they advertise entertainment - there was none, they advertise slippers, bathrobe and beach towel as standard in your room and yet we had to ask for them at reception, they advertise a Chinese and an Italian Restaurant (they are the same restaurant - each open for three nights a week in the same place, although when we went as previous comments it was not open, the opening night was supposed to be while we were there and then it never happened! We also at 1.30 am in the morning had to drag our suitcases up a very steep hill, so any of the older generation might not have been able to do this. But as I say for the price paid it was a...   "Great Hotel Great Holiday - AGAIN"
  "We returned to the hotel for the same week as last year, bring two friends with us. Everything was perfect, once again being upgraded from Beach & Eden to an "apartment" on the beach side of the pool. Marvellous view over the gardens to the sea from our balcony, from our very large room. The staff,..." some changes from last year, were all keen to please and most courteous through our stay. The food was good for the amount of time that the restaurant was open, maybe shorter more intense meal times would help, but this wouldnt please everyone.
