  "Stuben is a small village with good access to the St. Anton ski area, and fantastic off-piste. The Sporthotel Arlberg is very conveniently located within a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the lift station. There are drag lifts and slopes adjacent to the hotel, but these are for beginners only. ..."Note that the hotel is across the road from the main part of the village, so you need to be careful crossing the road, which can be quite busy. This would be a disadvantage if travelling with children. A pedestrian crossing would be a good addition. This was my 3rd trip to Stuben, 5th to St.Anton overall. I have stayed at the Sporthotel Arlberg for the last 2 years. The staff (especially Sandra, the proprietor) are unfailing helpful and welcoming. It was great 5 years ago and doesn't seem possible to get better every year, but Eva Maria and Markus continue to refine their hotel experience with small details that make the experience stand out. The food is fresh and tastes great, I had a traditional Austrian knoedel dish that was completely satisfying after a long day on the sunny slopes of Stuben. It has become a tradition to visit Stuben and the Mondschein. I could stay at any hotel in Stuben, but the Mondschein is definitely a place I look forward to visiting again and again.
