From the finer, to the major details, everything fell into place and we really cannot thank everyone at Thornton Hall enough. We had our special day in the Toringtone Suite and would highly recommend it. The setting is beautiful here and we were lucky enough for the sun to be shining. The food was delicious and the drink was plentiful. David and his team of waiting on staff were amazing, nothing was too much to ask of them.   "Efficient, helpful staff & was quiet. I have stayed here before and always find the old castle converted hotel very charming. The only down side is that you need to use a taxi to commute as it is not in the middle of the town or city."

I booked a standard club room but was advised a few days before we arrived we had been upgraded to the Penthouse Suite which I was over the moon with. The bathroom was..." stunning. Gorgeous big bath where you could lay back & watch TV. The view was overlooking the grounds. The only bad thing about the room was there were only a few channels to choose from & no option to order films. We rang reception & were advised they were in the process of switching packages which was the reason for lack of channels & movie option, it was a bit disappointing as we didn't feel like sitting in a bar all night & wanted to make the most of the Penthouse. The food was nice but we aren't very adventurous so the menu in Lawns was limited for us, but the staff were all really lovely & helpful. The food in the restaurant in the spa was more to our liking.
