Surprisingly the fishing was poor in the immediate area off the shore, but excellent while out on a bottom / reef fishing and snorkeling tour on the Morning Star. The spectacular views of Nevis and Turtle Beach was the highlight. Hanging out on the beach in front of the house listening to the lapping waves and the mild roar of the waves on the reef in the distance and the cooing of the mourning doves and other birds was very relaxing and soothed the soul. The pool area could do with a bit of tlc though, with grass between the pavers, tired looking loungers and pool chairs and tables that could do with a good clean. However, that was our on..."ly picky negative on our recent stay there. All the staff we encountered were great, including the owners. Nothing was too much trouble. We didn't go with any of the meal plans, preferring a la carte as we don't eat a great deal and 3 courses for diner each night would be a waste. With a couple of minor exceptions all the food we had, breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. It was an experience to wake up most mornings and see the local vervet monkeys on the lawn outside the cottage.
