  "So $18 for a glass of Malbec when I can get a bottle of the same at home for ten bucks. So it aint cheap. But the rooms were large and clean, the bathroom spacious and spotless and we were upgraded to a beachside room with a balcony. We also received free breakfast with the room. The buffet was far ..."and away the best we've had anywhere. The service was impeccable; the staff was polite, courteous and defferential. They weren't in your face for tips, but got them as I felt they were truly deserving. The Hotel is close to the Ferry at Red Hook, so a day trip to St Johns was easy and well worth it. You do have to take a cab everywhere as it is dangerous to walk on the side of the road. The only issue I had was that the fitness room was down when I went and the staff (even the front desk) were unaware of this. And as I mentioned running on the roadside is impossible.   "Just returned. Stayed only one night as we wanted to be in St. Thomas the day we were flying out. Wish we would have stayed longer. We sincerely enjoyed the hotel and found the rooms, staff, pool, and views lovely. We traveled with 3 children: 9, 15, 17 and had two adjoining rooms in the mi..."ddle section overlooking the saltwater pond and Sails. Rooms were perfect. Balconies were great. View was pleasant. Loved the sound of the birds. Staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We had several needs throughout our stay and found them very accommodating to all our requests. Loved the free water bottles in the room and the free cold water on the beach and the pool. Silly I know, but we are huge water drinkers and found this to be very nice. The snorkeling was lacking directly off the beach and found their snorkeling equipment to be inadequate, but I'm picky and had just spent a week snorkeling around the BVI with great gear.   "We usually stay in Charlotte Amalie before/after our trips to STJ and JVD, but we haven't really spent any time in Red Hook so we thought we'd try Two Sandals by the Sea. Perfect choice! Jun picked us up at the airport for a nominal fee and we had interesting "life" conversations on the way to the i..."nn :) . After he fixed us an amazing welcome rum punch, we headed to Secret Harbour for a drink and a burger ( very short and easy walk ). Next we used the "secret gate" on the Two sandals property to take a shortcut to Red Hook...also a short and easy walk. Lots of bars/restaurants to choose from. The next morning we had an 8:00 ferry to JVD ( before breakfast was to be served), Helen kindly packed us some freshly made banana bread for the trip. (AMAZING!) Then, she couldn't get ahold of a taxi to take us to the ferry , so she took us herself! Now, that's service! The rooms/common areas are very clean and well kept.
