  "cannot understand how a lovely spot like this has "no chef" and "no pastry chef" we had an all inclusive to the tune of $6,000. (did not include air) and we basically ate fried chicken fingers and wraps. Drinks and bar service was great, but the menus were a real laugh. No fillets, no lobster, n..."o lamb, no wonderful desserts, no prime rib. We were told one evening that the "catch of the day" was red snapper. That was a real laugh. Waiter informed us that it was pan seared in butter. We were served a stuffed baked, certainly frozen/packaged fish. One of the employees informed us that there is never a catch of the day. Best bet was to have a good breakfast buffet, but it doesn't change from day to day, so after 5-6 days one doesn't even want to eat that. Oh, there is a lobster buffet on the beach Tues/Thurs nites to the tune of $65.00, the pieces of lobster were grilled so much that we couldn't get the pieces from the shell and the prime rib was like brown shoe leather. The views of the harbor are wonderful! The pool space is nice, as it provides chairs in both the sun and the shade, as well as small sitting tables on a patio in case you wish to eat or drink there. We made use of the honor bar, which is very well stocked! I think they provide everything you need if you wish to make a cocktail (or beer, wine, etc.) Water and snacks are free, which was great to have to bring food for a trip to the beach. The breakfasts were great - quickly served and prepared so it did not waste the day - and the food was incredible!   "I just can't say enough about this resort. It might be the best vacation experience I have ever had. We arrived around 8am as we took a short hop from San Juan. Our room was ready! Absolutely everything you can dream up is there. They try to seat you as close to the window as possible . It's a spectacular harbor view in the aqua terra. I would like to specifically mention Raquel . She was just awesome. They knew us by name by the end of our stay, and nothing was too much trouble. Morning star beach was lovely and private . The pool area is also very well kept and has great harbor views. The ferry runs from the dock of the hotel into charlottte amalie every thirty minutes. 7.00 each way per person.
