We were looking forward to recovering from our "holiday" at the very chilled Eco Cabanas. Much to our dismay we were told t..."hat we were double booked. Yeli, the owner, told us that she was very sorry for the mix up and had scouted out alternate accommodations at the neighboring Parayso Hotel. She went as far as viewing the room to make sure it was acceptable and booking us into the more expensive hotel at her own cost. She also told us we were free to visit anytime we wanted (which was a big plus as we were missing our dogs and cats after staying a week in Cancun). Yeli was very helpful with organizing rental car for us, telling us the good local restaurants to eat at and letting us maul her dogs. After finally meeting him it was clear why. His friendly, high energy positivity is contagious and he really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great trip. He is so warm and welcoming, and really made us feel like old friends staying at his house instead of customers are a hotel.   "After backpacking through Central America for a month we decided to splurge a bot on beachfront accomm and looked at ALL the hotels along the esplinade before dinding this treasure. Ended up staying 2 nights but wish it was more! I can't fault this place, gorgeous rooms right on the beach front ..."for $79US!! Delicious and well priced meals at the restaurant out front and perfect hospitality from all staff. Please note that the $79 rooms dont come with private bathroom but the shared bathrooms are amazingly clean with beautiful shells as faucets etc. Will definitely return, cannot say enough about it :) " More >
