  "I don't really know if this review is appropriate at this time but by writing it we are hoping it will help for it's return.A few years ago we had the good fortune to go to Bahia Principe San Juan.We always stayed at Club Diamond.Not the Club Diamond as it is now but when it was down in the 1100 are..."a and close to the beach.It was an area all it's own and was the most awesome place to relax.In time it got run down and suffered closure and moved up to the Golden Club area.Everything was nothing short of being fantastic and was a Haven in itself.It was all very personal,staff excelled.In a nutshell,Perfection.Beach area very private although not the white sand as in Punta Cana.They were forced to erect sandbags to stop the erosion but that was o.k.as it was still pretty good.We were told upon closure ,as we were there at the time ,that it was going to be up-dated with a lot of work going to be done to it,re-furbishing etc.Rooms needed a lot of work new locks on doors as there were no dead...   "I don't know if I can add much more than what others have said. First off I feel like such a loser for waiting so long to finally write this review. Once I got back from this AMAZING vacation the reality of everyday life set in and well, its just taken me a while to actually sit down and take a mo..."ment. This vacation was soooooooo relaxing and just as EVERYONE has said, the staff is incredible!! Everyone bends over backwards to make sure you are enjoying yourself. If you want to just sit back and relax and enjoy the location you have so much free personal space and if you want to go out and adventure there is plenty of opportunity for that. We rented a car and drove from the airport which was nice because it gave us more freedom but I would not recommend that for everyone. The traffic is CRAZY and seemingly no laws.
