  "Stayed here during a visit to family in the Spokane area. We had a room on the river side of the hotel which was quiet. The lobby is very small, front desk staff efficient, however, not overly friendly. A large group of parents, kids and teens were there during our stay the second night which made..." things crazy the next morning at breakfast. Hot breakfast was nice, we asked to have to-go containers so I could take the breakfast food tray upstairs which they accomodated my request. Didn't partake in the evening cocktails...we had our own. Hotel room was nice...maid didn't refresh our lotion and makeup remover packets. The pillows are overstuffed and the air conditioner is loud. In spite of the little nitpicky things, this hotel is a very nice place to stay. Close to the mall, access to the freeway, and a nice paved trail on the river for walking. etc. There's also a really nice deck off the bar/dining room to sit outside in good weather. Very nice. Location was industrial, and there's some nasty construction on the street outside the hotel. The bathroom was spartan - separate sink area and a really small tub/showere combo that w..."as a bit scary to step out of. I agree that the breakfast was absolutely sub par. To start with, they end it at 9AM, which seemed a bit early compared to other hotels such as Best Western. The egg patties didn't look great, so I passed. But my biggest complaint was the really cheap plastic-ware - I could barely cut my waffle with the crummy knife and fork supplied. Upgrade needed here! There was a very friendly, helpful lady working in the breakfast area. And the front desk people were outstanding too. Cookies at check in were yummy. Nice microwave, half frig. Wi fi annoying, because you had to sign in each time and suffer through some ads for Windows. But nice table in the room. " More >
