  "That was my first time in Owen Sound and this Inn was highly recommended. I didn't regret the choice - yes there are renovations going on in the hallway but it's normal and not noisy at all. The owners were very friendly and helpful with everything I needed. I had a smoking room on the top floor - t..."he balcony was a plus. Everything was clean and maintained, good size room, comfortable beds, pillows & lots of towels in the bathroom. WiFi worked well. The only thing I missed was coffee in the room, but anyone can go get some from the lobby. The patio door windows were very "cloudy" needed cleaning but this time of the year is hard to say with lots of rain and the hotel right out of the highway. As for location - you need a car / taxi to go anywhere but plenty of parking spots available (coming from Montreal, that was a surprise :) I would go back and I recommend this hotel. They strike a perfect combination of friendliness, while being relaxed and casual, yet at the same time totally professional, efficie..."nt and attentive. I felt like a special guest in a welcoming home more than a stranger in a place where you pay to sleep. My room was perfect and I very much loved the natural light, open windows and enchanting bird song. Breakfasts were all perfect. David was easy-going and very helpful shuttling me to trail-heads early in the morning each day, which was the number one 'service' I required. It worked perfectly. Some highlights... coffee delivered early in the morning on a tray. Seeing the first hummingbird of the season as I lounged on the deck after a day of hiking.   "Beautiful place with history that Paul and Linda had kept. The photos doesn't do justice to it, you will have to go see it your self. It's one of those places you feel lucky to find it. Only complaint I would have is the lack of hot water, maybe we used too much for shower.. there wasn't enough left..." for the bath :S. The bed was superb and one that you will probably want to invest when you go home..The breakfast was spectacular with the home made french toast Linda had prep.
