  "We stayed at the Calico Cat during a family holiday travelling between Toronto and Montreal with our two daughters (23 and 21). We were only there for the night and whilst we spent less than 24 hours with hosts Dixie and John, we felt that we had known them for ages. They make you feel welcome on ..."arrival and give you lots of information on the area with ideas of things to do whilst visiting. Breakfast was wonderful. We stayed at a chain hotel in Montreal after Calico Cat and at each breakfast our girls reminded us that it wasn't as good as Dixie's! Unfortunately the weather was extremely wet whilst we were there, but this did not spoilt the setting and view - it is that good! The only down side was that we weren't there long enough. But, compared to the Brock which is even more dated or the Holiday Inn which is ridiculously overpriced, this is my new-favourite place to stay when I'm working in Brockville. The rates were very reason..."able, and breakfast was included. The rooms were standard but for the cost, there is no better place to stay. If looking for a romantic get-away to Brockville, I would recommend the Green Door Inn Bed and Breakfast instead. For work, though, Days Inn is great. " More >
