  "For a three night stay (including Friday) we paid £213 for the room, including buffet breakfast. This was excellent as the B&B's in Southampton were way over this. Easy to find and with lots of free parking (I think it's a con having to pay to park at hotels) and the check-in staff were friendly and..." helpful. Very clean and comfortable room with typical corporate hotel decor, lovely shower, large TV and small desk by the window. We slept very well as it was very quiet, perhaps we had good neighbors. The buffet breakfast was better than expected although the hot choice was just scrambled egg with sausage and beans. Plenty of cereals, yogurts, croissants and toast, and of course tea, coffee and juices. It was a little chaotic, I suspect the area was originally planned for a simpler breakfast with less choices.   "Having read previous reviews we were really quite concerned that we had made the wrong choice in choosing the Grand Harbour! Nothing could be further from the truth!! We were a party of 4 and had reserved two King De Vere Deluxe rooms, which were next to each other and on a high floor. I rang..." a few days ahead of arriving to 'double check' the booking (as I do) and spoke to Shikar (back office) who was extremely helpful and ensured that all was as requested i.e. close together, high floor and seaview.... Our rooms, numbers 313 and 315 were extremely comfortable and provided all you could want e.g. Tea/coffee, Fridge (cold for own use), Trouser press, Safe, Iron/Board / Fan (in addition to the climate control which was very efficient) / Hairdryer, etc., etc... Room 315 also had a small balcony. Yes, as many reviewers have commented, a little TLC is required but this did NOT detract from the comfort or overall wonderful stay that we had.
