We were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic, very well appointed and modern, whilst retaining the rustic charm of this beautiful old building. My husband was at first a bit dubious about the lack of co..."oked breakfast and a bar, but was soon pacified by the quality of the continental breakfast on offer and the close proximity of several good hostelries! The building is stunning, steeped in history, and the gardens are beautiful and peaceful with fantastic views of the castle. Sam, the manager, was really helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for him. A lovely touch was the complimentary chocolates and flowers the hotel gave us for our anniversary.
