A lovely house, a great comfy bed (a particular obsession of mine!), and a hostess in Jan, whose breakfasts and sociability are wonderful in equal measure. Yes it's a drive into Peebles, but out..." here you don't get the bonging of the church clock, and any passing traffic noise is well and truly muffled by the double glazing (not that there's much anyway). We went to a great concert at the excellent Eastgate Centre, and tucked in to good fish & chips courtesy of Jim Jack's fish & chip cafe on Northgate.
